Butterfly Lantern Parade

About: Hapeville Main Street and artist Chantelle Rytter (creator of the Beltline Lantern Parade) invite everyone to make a butterfly lantern and march through downtown Hapeville. The festival includes a pop-up art market (Market Hugs), food and beverage vendors, a creation station, and live music. The parade is led by the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons and the Seed & Feed Marching Abominables. Parade attire: floral galore. Lantern kits available at The Hangar starting March 13. The route is about a mile.
Elsewhere Shakespeare: The Winter’s Tale

About: Elsewhere Shakespeare is a punk band masquerading as a theater company. They produce minimally rehearsed, popup Shakespeare in unconventional spaces like bars and breweries. This time it’s The Winter’s Tale, a rarely performed fairy tale about jealousy, loss, and the possibility of second chances. Audience participation is encouraged. 90 minutes. Fast and loose and just like Shakespeare intended.
