With a $35 loan, WS “Sylvester” Stuckey, Sr. founded Stuckey’s as a roadside pecan stand in Eastman, Georgia in 1937. Earning a reputation for roadside pecan stands throughout the 20th century, Stuckey’s pecans are still produced in Wrens, Georgia today.
